James 1:5 encourages believers who lack wisdom to ask God. Proverbs 3:5–6 calls people to trust in the Lord rather than relying only on their own understanding. Prayer can accompany careful thinking, good advice and responsible action.

Lord, guide my next step. Close paths that would lead me away from what is good, and give me courage to follow wise direction. Amen.
